A little about me

I'm Rômulo Fraga, a software engineer based in Fortaleza, Brazil. At VTEX, I design, build, and operate backend services across the full software lifecycle, from product discovery and API design through rollout and production support.

My recent work includes billing and platform-credit systems, financial workflows, and self-service account provisioning. I work mainly with C#/.NET, PostgreSQL, and AWS, with a focus on distributed systems, asynchronous processing, reliability, and data-intensive services.

Before moving into software engineering, I worked at Pagar.me helping developers integrate payment APIs and SDKs across e-commerce and marketplace platforms. That experience shaped my interest in clear API contracts and solving the practical problems developers face when connecting systems.

My background also includes environmental engineering, business intelligence, project management, and product management. This site is where I share notes on the systems I build and the ideas I learn along the way.
