Master Data Billing & Platform Credit Wallet

A production billing system that turns Master Data usage into invoices and manages platform credits across their full lifecycle.

My role: Designed and delivered the billing and credit workflows, from accrual and consumption through invoice generation.
Challenge: Usage-based billing needed to account for customer credits and changing balances while producing accurate invoices for eligible companies.
Approach: Built workflows for credit accrual, consumption, reversal, and expiration, with transactional integration into invoice generation. Reconciled usage, company, and invoice data after launch to investigate billing coverage.
Impact: The first production cycle covered 2,358 companies, generated about $393K USD in net monthly revenue, and applied about $162K USD in platform credits. Reconciliation found about $51K USD per month in additional potential net revenue for validation; total revenue potential is about $941K USD per month as temporary waivers expire.

An API that supports a fully digital onboarding flow, letting customers create VTEX accounts through self-service.

My role: Owned end-to-end technical discovery, API design, delivery, rollout, and production validation.
Challenge: The product goal was clear, but the registration and account-creation steps needed to work together across engineering teams as a dependable self-service journey.
Approach: Translated product requirements into an RFC and API contracts, defined validation rules and rate limiting, and coordinated integration of the registration and account-creation workflows.
Impact: Delivered and rolled out the API as part of a fully digital customer onboarding flow, then validated its behavior in production.

Validation support for Brazil’s alphanumeric CNPJ format while keeping existing numeric identifiers working.

My role: Implemented the format support, check-digit validation, and automated coverage for input edge cases.
Challenge: The new identifier format had to be accepted without breaking systems and integrations that already used numeric CNPJs.
Approach: Extended validation to handle both identifier formats and covered valid, invalid, lowercase, malformed, and edge-case inputs with automated tests.
Impact: Added support for alphanumeric CNPJs while preserving compatibility with existing numeric identifiers.

A production investigation into authorization failures affecting accounts that handle personally identifiable information.

My role: Traced credential behavior across distributed services and worked with the owning platform team on a validation strategy.
Challenge: Cross-account access failures were blocking PII accounts, and the source of the authorization behavior crossed service boundaries.
Approach: Followed credential behavior through the distributed flow and collaborated with the platform team to define a credential-based way to validate access.
Impact: Established a reliable credential-based validation strategy with the owning team to address the failures.
